  • Information Technology Manager

    City of Warner Robins
    June 2013 – Present 

    Manager (grade 21) for the City of Warner Robins Information Technology department.
    • Plan information technology strategies; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions for the local government.
    • Supervise all phases of information technology projects from conception to completion.
    • Acts as liaison between clients, vendors, and consultants for public safety sector, utility services to provide technical support.
    • Utilize in-depth technical knowledge in designing and implementing secure solutions to protect digital assets of local government.
    • Responsible for operation of IBM mid-frame and peripheral information system equipment required to maintain daily business.
    • Work with department heads, supervisors, and government officials to develop technology strategies.
    • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures.
    • Lead a team of support personnel who support and troubleshoot technology issues for a over 500 clients.
    • Implement policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected.
    • Ability to gain an understanding of operational processes and needs as it relates to technology and communication equipment.
    • Maintain working relationships with vendors ensuring contracts are kept up to date and cost maintenance strategies are assessed and analyzed.
    • Recommends appropriate maintenance strategies to ensure uninterrupted systems usage and proper backup and recovery procedures are adhered to.
    • Ensures that technology assets are maintained responsibly, secured, and able to be recovered.

  • Network Administrator

    June 2002 – June 2013 (11 years 1 month)

    Network Administrator
    Job duties include but not limited to the following.
    • Review and evaluate network topology capable of meeting the requirements for city government data and telephony service.
    • Acquire networking equipment such as firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless devices. Deploy these devices to a high degree of interoperability.
    • Plan and implement network security policy.
    • Administrate DNS, DHCP, routing and other TCP/IP protocals.
    • Administrator of WiFi services to support employee networks, public safety networks (police recording systems) and public networks.
    • Establish and monitor wireless point to point up-links between supporting data and voice services.
    • Develop and build site-to-site VPN connections with remote agencies to allowing access to City network resources.
    • Configure network devices for voice over IP telephony using vlans and switch optimization for voice traffic.
    • Support POE/POE+ networks by budgeting power over the network for increased POE device reliability.
    • Provide documentation of all key devices on the network for administrative support.
    • Monitor and review logs of network equipment for security audits and network performance.
    • Use data from logging services to organize reports on network activity.
    • Microsoft Exchange Server deployment and administration, all versions. Create scalable email/calendar/contacts solution for multiple domains.
    • Active Directory Server / Domain Controller administration for local and remote users. This includes Trust/Trusted domains. 
    • Windows domain group policy management. Create group policies to meet requirements of local and state policies.
    • Administrate virtualized systems running VMWare, XEN, and Hyper-V. Operations of guest VMs including Linux and Windows. 
    • Work with vendors of subscription software to help troubleshoot errors.
    • Provide backup solutions and create retention policies to meet government data retention requirements. 

  • Computer Service Manager

    Middle Georgia Computers
    February 1997 – June 2002 (5 years 5 months)

    Managed computer repair, sales, and service. Scheduled on site computer repair and service. Responsible for server and workstation support contract with Houston county 911 Center systems and network. Hired and worked as a technician building and repairing computer/printer hardware. Moved to Service Manager after 3rd year.   

  • Computer Service Manager

    PC Innovations
    March 1993 – February 1997 (4 years)

    Build, configure and repair computer systems. Design, deploy, and administrator server infrastructure for web site hosting services and hosted email services. Installed and administrated wireless back haul to locale ISP. Scheduled end worked on-site service calls for business and residential systems.


  • Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center

    Starting January 2012

    The new Warner Robins Law Enforcement Center is a state of the art building. The LEC is a powerful and reliable tool for the men and women serving to protect the citizens of Warner Robins. A strong data network within the building provides a solid technology foundation to meet today's law enforcement needs.
